I would like to start off by telling you about myself. My name is Mrs. Nicole Pappas. Teaching in Belleville is very special to me. I attended the Belleville Public Schools and graduated from Belleville High School. Next, I went on to graduate from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and received an Elementary Teacher Certificate. Then, I attended graduate school at New Jersey City University and graduated in 2012 with a Masters of Arts in School Counseling.

I began my teaching career in 2005 as a second grade teacher in Orange, New Jersey. I  was hired the following year in Belleville. This is my 12th year teaching in Belleville. My experience includes teaching first grade, second grade, and third grade, as well as being a district literacy coach.

It is my sincere pleasure to have your child in my class. I am looking forward to an exciting school year filled with fun and discovery as the children and I journey through the sixth grade curriculum together.

The opportunity to teach your child is a privilege and a responsibility I take very seriously. I will do my best to motivate, comfort, and appreciate your child and all the gifts he or she will bring to our classroom. I will need your help, as well. Whether it's ensuring your child has completed homework assignments, helping him or her study for a test, or simply asking your child, "What surprised or excited you in the classroom today?" Your encouragement and interest make a huge difference.

I look forward to working with you and your child this year. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by email at Nicole.Pappas@belleville.k12.nj.us.
