Mrs. Melinda Troise
BSIP Reading and Math-Grades 1-5
Welcome to the Basic Skills Improvement Program (BSIP) at School 3! My name is Mrs. Melinda Troise and I am proud to say I was born and raised in Belleville and graduated from Belleville High School! As a child there was never a doubt in my mind as to what career I would pursue: I wanted to be a teacher. I am now in my 20th year of teaching and have attained a Masters in Education, and I am still very passionate about working with your children. Teaching your child is very important to me. My goal as an educator is to assist my students in developing a positive attitude about their ability to learn and succeed in school.
Basic Skills instruction is supplemental instruction in either Language Arts Literacy or Mathematics for students who are struggling to meet grade level expectations. In this program, I work closely with the classroom teachers to provide additional support to strengthen the skills and strategies my students need to achieve success within their classroom. Intervention is provided through push in and/or pullout. Working in small group instruction allows me to create an environment in which each student feels comfortable and confident as each explores his/her own abilities.
It is important to remember that not all students learn in the same way or at the same time. Therefore, interventions are put into place to help each student achieve success.
